Named after a Frida Kahlo painting, you'll find this place filled with her image. Artfully painted tables complement the elegantly prepared Mexican fare. We're not just talking tacos and burritos, but also all the classics like mole and chile poblano. Their menu is based on what Frida and Diego Rivera would serve to their guests. Be sure to call ahead for reservations and plan for a cab to get to this hard-to-find (but worth it) spot at the edge of the Zona Romantica.

Excellent food Great Prices
First time here - and loved it - very authentic down home cooking. Fantastic art on the walls to look at. Nice staff - everything was great!
disappointed
Had high hopes but the food was terrible. Dry chicken with way too much sauce trying to hide it. Wish I had been impressed but won't run back there anytime soon. :(
Our favorite in Puerto Vallarta
We discovered this place in 2003 and ate there 3 times in a week. We went back this week and it is just as good. The Chiles en Nogada is my favorite. But the Mole Poblano will give you chills it's so good. I would recommend taking a taxi there your first time and walk back. It's hard to find if you don't know PVR but so worth it. The margaritas are also very good. It's small and a great date place or fun to go with friends. There are a couple of small rooms you can get as well for larger groups. I really can't recommend this place highly enough!
great authentic mexican food
tucked away in the center of town is this great authentic mexican restaurant. yes, it's a cab ride away, and otherwise you will likely not find it, but it's well worth the trip. Try the mole!
