Costa Sur Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta
The Costa Sur is one of the main hotels along the Zona Hoteleria, south of the Zona Romantica just 5-10 minutes by car (and rideshares are very, very inexpensive in Puerto Vallarta). The Costa Sur is a family resort, popular with Mexican vacationers with children who love splashing around in the pool. But the hotel is a proud destination for same-sex weddings, and was hosting commitment ceremonies long before marriage equality was legalized in Mexico. There is a small beach, open only when the tide is low, and the oceanfront location has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
