Playa Los Muertos

(46 Ratings)
*The* PV spot to hang out

The gay beach is at the south end of the Playa Los Muertos and is usually referred to as the "blue chairs" for the seating put out by the gay resort of the same name. This spot has been a gay beach for over two decades. In recent years it has expanded to the green chair area right next door. Both resorts provide food and services and you'll hear people debating which part of the beach is better. Check it out, relax and enjoy the sun.

one of the great beaches

Actually there are now 3 parts to the gay beach on Los Muertos, including the traditional Blue chairs which is quite active Noon until around 4-5pm or so, the Green chairs next door to that to the south - though the service at both places is good - the Green chairs has more space between the palapas too. then the 3rd location is at Lido beach club run by Michel who also has Michel's trattoria on Olas Altas street, Lido tends to be more upscale than the other two. One of the 4 photos above of Los Muertos of the gay beach is actually from www.discoveryvallarta.com/gay-beach.html which has many excellent photos of the area and some hot and friendly guys too. I prefer the Green chairs for the quality of the food, though the music there is sometimes a bit loud so people do tend to sit closer to the water...Lido is definitely quieter.

Cruisy Gay Beach Worth a Visit

A charming beach to spend the afternoon on. They don't charge to sit in the chairs, you just order something. The prices were not as high as I expected. Handsome business boys approached me. Since I was with someone, it was not difficult to shake off any I didn't want. I went for a little stroll on the beach and a sexy lifeguard made it clear he was available. Never found out his rates.
