Agreed...
...the staff makes this place great. Everyone is a good time and more outgoing than you'll find at other bars. The bar is small enough that the service is much better than you'll find elsewhere. Mixed drinks aren't a deal but beer is cheap and I always have a good time when I stop by.
If you want to be made to feel like a Gringo...
Maybe this is a nice friendly place for locals but we had our worst experience in PV here. While I expect to pay "gringo" prices at various places in PV -- the taxi stand, beach vendors, etc. I've always felt at bars that drink prices are set for all customers. Well not at Stereo! Here the staff decides how much you pay on how much of a tourist you act like. I guess we were full on gringo! Cuz our bill was outrageous even by American standards. So if you want a dank, smokey, dive that rips you off head to Stereo!!!
Staff infection
The guys at Stereo are all cute. "Fifi" made me laugh until my sides hurt. The owner is cute, but too reserved. The DJ came out and asked if I was having fun! It is a little too bright, I would have liked some of the back sitting area more private. Curtains would be great, if they put them all around to divide the space. This is a good warm up bar!
